Pakistan's ginning factory begins to close

The business club reported on August 23 that many ginning factories in Pakistan had closed down across the country, and ** destroyed crops. This is because the government and the ginners still have conflicting opinions on the sales tax of cotton procurement, industry insiders said.

Shahadzad, vice-president of the Pakistan Gunning Association (PCGA). Ali said: "Our opinion has closed more than 200 factories. We can only start production until this dreadful decision is cancelled or corrected.

The Pakistani government expropriated a 3.5% sales tax on the purchase of Phutti cotton. However, the ginners require that the sales tax be requisitioned only when they are purchased from brokers or intermediaries. Direct purchases from cotton farmers do not require the payment of sales tax.

But the tax authorities think this is ridiculous. Tax officials rarely track records when conducting audits.

The Pakistan Gunning Association held a ** since the first week of August, but the arrival of new cotton did not stop and the cotton trade on the cotton exchange remained stable.
